AI experts from Hamburg and Boston to mull AI and futuristic materials

HamburgAmbassador to host expert talk on AI on September 17, 2024 in U.S.

Bodo Liesenfeld, HamburgAmbassador in Boston, is set to host an expert talk on the future of AI and futuristic materials in the famous MIT IBM Watson Lab on September 17, 2024. The Fehrmann MaterialsX group of high-tech, deep-tech companies specialising in data, AI and augmented reality has proven instrumental in this endeavour. The group has branches Hamburg and Boston and acts as a bridge between the two cities. Register now on Eventbrite to take part in the event. Morning: Focus on trustworthy AI

The agenda features a tour of the lab at 9am followed by a discussion on "Trustworthy AI”moderated by Alois Krtil of the Artificial Intelligence Centre Hamburg  (ARIC). Experts including Achim Tappe, CDO of Fehrmann MaterialsX, and Hendrik Strobelt, Senior Research Scientist at IBM Watson, will give insight into the status and future of AI. Emphasis will be on  transferring applications and the cultural differences in developing AI in Europe and the U.S. backed by Hamburg Marketing

Afternoon: Futuristic materials 

A deep dive into the development of futuristic materials will take place in the afternoon, chaired by development professor Markus Bühler. MIT. Leading scientists and experts will discuss the use of AI in materials informatics and how trustworthy AI can impact the future of developing materials
