The Tempowerk is the place where technology and progress have found a home. More than 100 companies from 40 technology-based sectors can be found here on an area of around 30,000 m². The premises provide space for offices, laboratories and pilot plant centres with state-of-the-art equipment. Moreover, local stakeholders benefit from a wealth of collaboration and networking opportunities as the Tempowerk fosters the exchange of knowledge and experience through numerous events. These include e.g. after-work formats, expert talks and Technology Days. The premises further include a conference and meeting hotel with 24-hour self-check-in and catering in the restaurant.

The Hausbruch Materials Management Centre (MWZ) is a highly specialised logistics centre operated by Airbus. Thanks to direct links to the A7 motorway and proximity to the large container terminals in the port of Hamburg, incoming goods can be handled with ease. Moreover, the Airbus plant in Finkenwerder can usually be reached within a 20-minute drive by car. First and foremost, the centre is in charge of incoming goods processing and the timely provision of logistics components for the final assembly lines of Airbus in Finkenwerder. The range of components comprises more than 35,000 items.

Safran S.A. is based in Paris, France. Via its German operations, Safran mainly supplies aircraft equipment and interiors to customers around the world, among them large accounts such as Airbus. The engineers working for Safran in Germany are involved in all of the company's development programmes, including projects e.g. in the area of 3D printing and next-generation connectivity solutions. Safran Nacelles has been based in Hamburg since 2014 and is in charge of assembling and supplying nacelles for the Airbus A320neo, which is powered by two LEAP-1A® engines from CFM International. Safran Engineering Services is also based in Hamburg and provides services to the aviation and land transport industries.

The groundwork for the tesa SE works in Hamburg-Hausbruch was laid in 1971. Since then, the plant has been continuously expanded and is now, thanks to its state-of-the-art cleanroom facility and solvent-free production lines, one of the world’s most modern plants. In 2015, a new polymerisation facility was put into operation, giving the company more flexibility in the production of modern adhesives. Moreover, a new production hall and a new hazardous goods warehouse were built – alongside a combined heat and power (CHP) system that, in addition to generating electricity, recovers the waste heat by-product as thermal energy for heating and cooling. Today, a workforce of some 600 employees produces single- and double-sided adhesive tape as well as special products and system solutions for processing in high-performance industries, such as the automotive, electrical, paper, printing, construction supply, healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.

Continuing its 140-year history in Hamburg, the traditional Holsten brewery of Carlsberg Deutschland GmbH opened its new location in Hamburg-Hausbruch in 2019. With the new building, the company is adapting to the changing environment of the brewing industry: shorter distances, state-of-the-art facilities, optimised infrastructure and no restrictions regarding night work are but a few of the benefits of the new site. With the completion of the new brewing facility at Holsten Brauerei, Carlsberg Deutschland GmbH was able to enhance a number of different processes. While the Hausbruch site can be accessed and exited via the A7 motorway (exit 31), on-site logistics have also been improved, featuring e.g. terminals for self-check-in and check-out, waiting zones, as well as special areas for unloading empties and loading vehicles with various brewery products.

EL-Cell GmbH provides electrochemical test equipment and services to scientists and other professionals involved in high-end battery research at the cutting edge of knowledge in this field. Combining engineering and electrochemical expertise, a unique environment for producing electrochemical test equipment of the highest quality has evolved here. EL-Cell develops and manufactures products for use in both academia and industry. While the primary focus is on lithium-ion batteries, the company also designs test cells for other energy storage technologies.

Mercedes-Benz is a registered trademark for vehicles of the Mercedes-Benz Group. The name was created in 1926 after the merger of Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft with Benz & Cie. to form Daimler-Benz AG. In 2022 alone, 2.04 million new passenger cars of this brand were sold. The Hamburg plant has been part of the global Mercedes-Benz production network since 1978. Its portfolio ranges from axles and steering columns to exhaust technology components. In addition, the Hamburg plant is in charge of assembling integrated starter generators. Since 2019, it has also supplied the Mercedes-Benz plant in Bremen with electric axles for the production of the EQC and, since 2022, also for the EQE model.

As well as delivering letters and parcels in Germany, Deutsche Post specialises in dialogue marketing, the distribution of press products as well as integrated solutions for corporate communications. In Germany, Deutsche Post maintains a nationwide transport and delivery network. The Hamburg-Süd logistics centre at Georg-Heyken-Strasse 10 was opened in April 1996. The catchment area covers the postal code area 21, which includes Hamburg-Bergedorf, Hamburg-Harburg, as well as the towns of Lüneburg, Stade, Otterndorf, Büchen and Soltau. Some 250 people are employed here, plus 40 temporary staff at peak times before Christmas. Today, about 80 percent of all letters can be sorted by machine; the remaining 20 percent are made up of e.g. newspapers, magazines and thick letters and have to be sorted by hand.
