The founders Elena Dwenger and Aylin Kitte of HandsOn! won the semi-final of Hamburg’s Female StartAperitivo earlier in May with their joint vision of breaking down prejudices in the skilled trades and opening doors. The project emerged from the Körber Start-Hub’s Next Generation incubator. Second place went to Greenspot, a Hamburg-based start-up that promises farmers higher revenues and customers fresher fruit and vegetables under the motto of "Farm to Fork". Farmers switch from monoculture and to direct sales. Manti Manti, a start-up that produces stylish and sturdy glasses for children, came third and won the most votes. A cash prize of EUR 5,000 was presented as well as start-up coaching and mentoring.
The Hamburg-based HandsOn! start-up has reached the final of the Female StartAperitivo, which gets underway in Knust Hamburg on June 6, 2024 . Organised by the Hamburg Investors Network, the contest helps raise the visibility of female entrepreneurs and to raise capital. Contestants from ten federal states will take part in the competition, which is now a national event. Free tickets are available.
