The platform brings companies together to save as many people as possible from unemployment and to secure skilled workers in the process. "Companies can help themselves and bind their employees to them by allowing them to have a side job. The employees themselves can earn some extra money during short-time work," said Dr. Melanie Leonhard, Senator for Labour. Social enterprises can avail of a social service provider on http://www.hamburg.de/sozialdienstleistereinsatz.
A new www.fachkraefte-fuer-hamburg.de platform launched Monday (May 4, 2020) to put companies in contact with urgently-needed workers. Companies can post their requirements and exchange their personnel regardless of industry amid the corona pandemic. The platform has been set up by the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Family and Integration with the Koordinierungsstelle Weiterbildung KWB e.V. as part of the "Skilled Workers for Hamburg" project. The corona crisis is forcing many companies in Hamburg to limit their operations and put workers on short-time work leaving them free to do other work.
