International Hydrogen Symposium on June 15, 2021

The International Hydrogen Symposium on Tuesday (June 15, 2021) will focus on developing, marketing and achieving competitive hydrogen technology. Discussions will also centre on the challenges to production, storage, transport and sales with particular emphasis on networking between the global hydrogen industry and H2 stakeholders in business, science, politics and society with a view to drafting a common hydrogen roadmap. The symposium is organized by the IHK Nord and the Hydrogen Society Hamburg. The event will be held in English as part of the North German Hydrogen Week from June 12-20, 2021.

Speakers from all corners of globe

Veronika Grimm, Professor of Economics, Nobert Barthle, Parliamentary State Secretary Senator Kristina Vogt, Bremen, and Michael Westhagemann, Hamburg's Senator for Economics, will explain strategic roadmaps for making hydrogen an energy carrier. Experts such as Nicole Dreyer-Langlet (Airbus), Stefan Dohler (EWE AG), Oliver Weinmann (Vattenfall Europe Innovation GmbH), Joachim Heider (Linde GmbH) and Thomas Wintrich (Bosch Powertrain Solutions) will give insight into the industrial use of hydrogen.

Networking at symposium

The event will be livestreamed and delegates will have an opportunity to network after the keynotes to boost the north German hydrogen sector. No other world region has facilitated the cross-sectoral, competitive use of green hydrogen. Registration is free of charge on www.h2symposium.de.  Experts say Hamburg offers ideal conditions for becoming a leading hydrogen hub with its concentration of industry, the proximity between production and import sites, as well as central connections to trans-European transport networks and consumers.
