The recently-ended SLUSH, Europe's largest startup event, was held in Helsinki from November 17 to 18. Four Hamburg-based startups seized the opportunity to present their companies to an international audience and network with investors.
Boomerang, Etvas, receeve and Spacific GmbH were on board. Backed by Hamburg Invest’s Startup Unit, a joint stand was hosted with Berlin Partner, Köln Business and Munich Startup at "the world's largest gathering of venture capital events".
The Hamburg-based start-ups were delighted with the event after successfully using the two-day event to boost their business development.

The visit to the conference was also a complete success for the Startup Unit team. "Many exciting contacts were made with startups, corporates and investors who are interested in Hamburg as a location," said Veronika Reichboth, Head of the Startup Unit. Helsinki really is becoming a hotsport of start-ups and holds huge potential. Thus, the Startup Unit will head to Helsinki in early 2023 with another delegation of Hamburg-based startups.
