New website for goods "Made in Hamburg" launches

"Lokl Hamburg" presents local products online for climate-friendlier Christmas shopping

The new "Lokl Hamburg" went online Tuesday (December 11, 2023) sell products "Made in Hamburg" and to set an example for greater sustainability. Founded by Hamburger Morgenpost and Eimsbütteler Nachrichten, the platform sells anything  from beauty products and bicycle accessories to city-themed gifts. Customers can also choose the integrated Click&Collect option.

Mission of new online shop

"We are shining a spotlight on Hamburg's creative power. Our focus on local activity and products helps to protect our climate, strengthen our local economy and make our society more resilient." Customers can filter products from Hamburg by supplier and district and view retailers recommendations. Event highlights in the Hanseatic city are also available. The project has been subsidised with public funds from the "Neustartfonds" to make the city centre and suburbs more attractive in the wake of  the pandemic.
